Finding the right therapist doesn’t have to be a daunting task. My goal as a therapist is to bring my authentic and genuine self to ensure you can do the same in a therapeutic setting.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I help establish trust and respect so clients of all walks of life can take the desired steps toward discovery, growth, healing, connection, and wholeness.
I work with couples and individuals to help reach short- and long-term goals, finding answers in the past and/or present, to illuminate insight and possibilities.

My approach is client-centered and collaborative, utilizing an eclectic and integrative approach tailored to the unique needs of each client and couple.
Austrian Holocaust survivor and psychiatrist Victor Frankl states, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” As a multiculturally competent counselor, LGBTQ ally, and trained chaplain, I am committed to meeting you in the space between stimulus and response. What happens next is up to you.
My career began over 20 years ago as a minister in a mainline denomination, where I provided spiritual, pastoral, and crisis counseling in both religious and secular settings. This work gave me extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
As a child of immigrants, I grew up in an Asian American household where mental health was neither discussed nor prioritized. However, as I navigated my personal experiences, I came to understand the profound impact mental health has on overall well-being. It is the reason why I became a therapist and created Ember Therapy. I am committed to supporting others on their journey by helping them navigate challenges and work toward growth and healing in a safe, compassionate, and shame-free space.

I approach my work with deep empathy and compassion, valuing each person’s unique journey and their potential for growth. It is an honor to help people navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals.

My areas of expertise include racial identity, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, religious trauma, adoption, and sexual abuse all approached with a trauma-informed lens. Whether through individual or couples counseling, I look forward to embarking on this journey of therapy with you.
